Anyone know where I can find former posters from the cold war? theres a plethora of archives on stuff like communist propaganda posters, but i'm after the US stuff - "duck and cover", "dont talk about national security" "shop a commie today". that kinda thing - with the really cheesy art and bold colours... or anything Uncle Sam-esque would be good

"public information" posters as it were, authentic ones. if anyone can be of any assistance, i would be most grateful, as i've searched and found a small handful

its for my uber cool themed team DM map, for the competition. so help today, and reap the benefits tomorrow, by seeing my first ever release

Also, does anyone know the cyrillic alphabet? Or could come up with some nice propaganda stylee phrases in cyrillic stylee, I would be most grateful - just to make the russian side a bit more authentic as well

that era, sadly is a blemish i would care to forget.. a map dedicated to it would be as iffy, as one dedicated to fried chicken, and black folks, or one about gay bars with walls and the holes you stick you sticker into.

i remember the evil stuff said about russia, some of it was prolly true, but i cannot remember a single war begun by common folks, yet we all must fight them.. why can't the people who start the wars fight them and leave us alone.

i even heard once, that the US and the UK traded bullets, a rumor i hope never to be repeated :/

oh dont worry, its all very tongue in cheek for a totalwar (TFC map) style tribute.. the idea is you have to destroy each others propaganda machines and ballot boxes to score points... its easy to theme and something close to my heart and knowledge  and dont worry, it will be completely impartial

If you've got the means/rescources, check out a video called "The Atomic Cafe." It basically details the entire "US dealing with the repurcussions of dropping the first Atomic Bomb" thing. It's a really great social commentary of the time- and it's got all those nostalgic "Duck and Cover" adds in it.
