My memory of the first Sim is hazy to say the least. I was playing it
in a small local computer shop and I got given out to for clicking the
mouse too loud. ..Such a traumatic childhood.
Sim city 2000 was the one which occupied most of my time. I was
convinced those large habitats would blast off into space or something
due to the misleading booklet!

Think he means like a police station or the like as poeple won't build if not 3 squares away from a road or rail.

There was a similar tactic with SC2000, something to do with building on islands with just one block of road.

they do nlast off in sim city 2000 special edition there was a city made entirely out of them and you would have to wait a little while and they would all blast off although it would make my 486 lag like hell

SimCity 4 has been occupying much of my time these last few
months. Oh man, it's so fun. Really you need the expansion
to get the full effect but it's totally worth it.
Also, that city with the "blasting off" (it just used the bulldoze
effect, actually) arcologies is called 349arco, I believe. I
watched it once or twice, then decided it was pretty pointless.
The coolest parts of SimCity 2000 were combining it with SimCopter and
Streets of SimCity anyway.

SimCopter was so much fun. I really enjoyed taking the Apache and flattening entire city blocks of my own cities.

cI had steeets of sim city, what a woeful game! Some of the gar
modifications were good fun though, particularly the ones that made
your car jump and the one that let you hover. I used to go to the
mountains and wreck the car doing huge jumps.

Well, I've got a 6 hour bus ride to look forward to tomorow.. and again on Sunday. Was gonna spend the time playing cards and sleeping. Maybe I'll skip the sleeping part for a little bit of Sim City fun
