Aaah yes, NationStates  Been on there for ages now... I have 3 nations

http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=schisma

http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=stoned_mofos

http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=gwildonia

Schisma has achieved regional "1st" status several times, albeit for highest taxes and nudest (?! - not entirely sure how that one happened  )

wil5on, you seem to have an eye for spotting 1337-age  i hope you saved that screenshot as well!

The book that NationStates is based on, Jennifer Government, is quite a good read too.

I was going to buy that book the other day. I was in WH Smith, and I saw it on the shelf at the front of the store. I was tempted to get it simply because of it's relation to NationStates.

/me has an epileptic fit at rumple.tk :leper:

heh, i love 1337-age. I only have 2 1337 stories, neither of which I can find screenshots of, so they are lost in the depths of noob-age

first: i ftped this jpg up and sent xxx bytes, and recieved 1337 bytes from the ftp server

second: me and a few friends were playing the single player levels in sven co-op. we were killing nihilanth (as you know, in sven co-op it says the health of the monster you are killing) ... and we were just pumping him full of lead and rockets and stuff when the game froze ...

his health was 1337 ....

I got bored of that game very quickly, there's not much to it except deciding between stupid decisions once a day. What's the point when you can play Civ?!

The site loads very very slowly for me, which even ruins the decision making.

It's a political simulation game xconspirisist, kinda gets boring after a while unless you have a deep interest in politics.. even then the "daily issues" start to repeat after a while.

If you're into the whole geek-text-roleplay thing and like politics, you'll like it. Otherwise I just wouldn't bother. Apparently there is a second version due sometime in the future with "proper" implementations of war, trade, treaties etc... The navigation is fine as well, once you've "played" it for 5 minutes

And yes, there is no point to this when there is Civilization.. yum yum.

I played it for a while until I was only getting about 5% new questions, then it just sucked.
