Quite impressive for being new, looks amazing like the professional texture pack for Golgatha.
Crits later, but for now, please do NOT put colored lighting on a texture...

1st off, they all seem to be made for a night time map, which IMO defeats the purpose of textures, if you want an area to be dim, place the proper lighting, don't make the textures look dim, some peoples machines/monitors will make them even more so..
2nd, i am a big,big fan of spotlight ents.. only once did i use a texture that had a simulated light, and if i had it to do all over again, i wouldn't use it this time.. you have much more control over the situation if you use normal light..
3rd i have noticed a distinct partiality towards the grey end of the color spectrum in most NS textures, is this a theme wide thing, or just the latest fad?
lastly, we have crete,crete,crete... medieval ... theme mix-up?
anywho's, since i have no real working knowledge of texture creation, most all my comments are prolly bullcrap, but there you have them..
the only ones i genuinely like are #2 and #5 but even those are pretty dark..
methinks this thread belongs up in general tho.. not maps

If these are for ns, Gothic architecture isnt really fitting. Like it though.
Dont add light fittings to the top of your texture, I prefer just to pick a point & add shadows from it. I suggest you do the same, there are a few things that could use a drop dhadow on them.
Try to avoid just putting black in things, shadow them properly.
Really good though m8, gj.

NS tex's look like they fit the NS style perfectly.
There seems to be some repetitive patterns from cut+pasting - in the first 2 screenies those horizontal panels have identical vertical lines running down them all at the same positions. Its hard to say if you would notice this in-game or if it looks un-natural, heh.

Those are impressive. I agree with the lighting comments though, unless you have a very specific use in mind.

heh, Its not actually that small tbh, 256 pixels wide is pretty much a standard max for hl1.
+ It was a green boxy thing with hazard signs on it I think.

i like 1,3,4 and 6 best..
the ones with the green stripes.. look to specialized IMO.. not bad, but limited use.. if that makes sense
i gotta admit tho.. you really seem to have gotten the basics down on this texture stuff doc..
makes me all the more excited about HL2.. the prospect of making a map, made out of 100% snarkpitcrew textures is exciting at the very least..
good job..
