I'm still a noob, bear with me...

I setup Hammer 3.4 and HLCC w/Zoners Tools and get this error when i compile....
hlcsg: Error: Could not open wad file \sierra\half-life\valve\halflife.wad

hlcsg: Error: Could not find WAD file
Description: The compile tools could not locate a wad file that the map was referencing.
Howto Fix: Make sure the wad's listed in the level editor actually all exist
I checked " +wadinclude" in HLCC, checked the path in the editor setup and it points to the wad in its correct location...

I also opened the wad in WALLY, so its not corrupt

The wad file should be on the same drive as the map you're trying to compile.

To add to Fraggard`s comment. EVERYTHING should be on the same hard drive. Half-Life, VHE, textures, tools, compilers, BSPs. Everything. On another note. I see your not using Zoner`s tools. I suggest you get them. They are way better. They can be found in the files section of Snarkpit.

The default tools are Quake tools, thus the Q at the beginning of their name. The zoner tools begin with hl ...

Read Irish's first post, it says there was an error in hlcsg, so WC said, "you should use Zoners" and I was pointing out that the zoners tools have hl at the beginning after IG said he was using zoners. The default half-life tools have a q, since they're made for the Quake engine.

Ex: qbsp2 -> hlbsp
