My problem has to do with info_player_starts not showing up in hammer. I select the entity tool. I scroll to info_player_start. I click it into one of the 2D windows and I select create object, but the entity isn't created. Any ideas?

It would seem that right clicking to "Create object" doesn't work, just press Enter instead.

Thanks Lep that did it. I always make entities by right clicking and selecting create object. Hmm wonder why it doesn't do it now.

Just tried yours Orph and it works when I left-click in the 3D window, but its a hit or miss if your trying to specificly place it somewhere. So should you both be marked right?

dunno, but methinks being so quick on the draw is defeating our system.

as for the playerstart being misplaced, at least its in the map now, you can always move it.

i mean, my way may not be exact, but its in there right?

Er, well yeah you can create them by clicking on a solid object in the 3D window. But you asked why "create object" wasn't working

Personally I only place decals and overlays by clicking in the 3D window, as most other things will need moving around to get right in the 2D windows anyway- may as well get it right from the start!
