Hey guys. Well, I've wasted an hour fiddling with a ladder trying to get it to work (doesnt help my pc's slow and takes ages for hl2 dm to load so i can test it). I tried the original hl way, then read the thing in hammer documentation on it. But i tried doing as it said, and it still doesnt work. So if anyone is willing, please create a tutorial, or leave a nice step by step reply on how to make a functioning ladder! As I said, once I know the basics my maps will be fantastic :razz:

I'd say you should check out the dm_lockdown example map. There are a
few ladders in there and you could definitely see how it works now.

The entity is called func_useable ladder, I'm messing with it at the moment but I'm having another unrelated problem.

Ok, create a func_useable ladder entity in your map where the top of
the ladder ends. Select the little circle in its center and drag it down
vertically to where you want the ladder to end. You'll notice that
another coloured box is created so you have a box at the bottom and top
of your ladder with a red line connecting them. Look up how to add
props to your map so you can have a ladder model, otherwise you'll be
climbing thin air. Remember that the center of the brushes is where
you'll be climbing from, so place them close to the wall.
