When using the texure application tool I sometimes need to apply the
properties of a texture from one brush to another along with that
texture. e.g. I've changed the scale/rotation/shift of the texture to
make it aestetically nice and I'd like to use the same settings on
multiple other surfaces. I select the texture with the tool (my custom
settings are pulled
up for that texture at that time), I then switch to 'Apply texture
+settings' (or Apply(all)) and I click on the surface I want to apply
the texture+settings to. The new surface gets textured perfectly!

The problem I am having is that at this point all the settings clear
from the little windows in the texture application tool and (even
though apply all is still selected) further application of the texture
are back at default values for these cleared feilds! What I end of
having to do I select, apply, select, apply, etc until all the surfaces
have been alligned, a hassle I can assure you.

So whats the deal?! I checked the 'texture lock' option under the tools
menu but no difference  I couldn't find anything that sounded like to
dealt with texture position.

Thanks in advance,

I used to have the same issue, but I had figured out a way to avoid getting carpel tunnel syndrome.

Change the texture tool button to "Select and Lift". Left click
on the texture you want to duplicate onto another surface. Then right click
on any surface you want to apply the current texture and value.
Everything will be aligned correctly, and it's fast and easy using this
method.

Hope that helps.
