Well I use a USB hub cause my gay computer only has 2 ports. So yesterday I went out and bought a webcam, installed it and found out theres not enough bloody power to run it and it doesn't come with a seperate power adapter. My problem is each port on my USB hub allows 100 mA per port and the webcam needs 300 mA. Anyway to get around this problem?

Swap something round from your two existing USB ports to the hub and stick the camera in its place?

I would do that but the cord isn't long enough :sad:

Go to Best Buy (or your local gaming shop) and buy a PS2 (Playstation 2, not the PS2 port kind) USB Hub, they come with a power cord. The only problem is that the hub isn't USB 2.0 standard, but if you're just running a webcam it should be fine.

The extention cabe would be cheaper there only about ?10 for about a 5 foot cable.

But I would go with the powered hub personaly.

Yeah, but the powered hub is like an extention cord plus 4 more USB ports. And mine only ran me about 15 bucks (it was an Open Item).
