I have the Gmail mail notifier loaded in the background, and I noticed that when I get an unread message, it disables the AI in Half-Life single-player map.
I was testing my SP map this morning, and when I loaded up the map from the console, the text "AI Disabled..." showed up on the screen. And sure enough, none of the enemies attack me anymore. This seems to happen only when there is a new message in the Gmail notifier. Usually the AI works just fine for the same map/same compile.
Interesting? A new Bill Gates conspiracy? Does anyone else have this issue?

You're right, it turned out to be a coincidence.
However, whenever I test my single-player map, I still get this problem
occasionally. Not only does the AI become disabled, but the graph
nodes become out of date too. Consequently, even after I turn AI
back on (by using "ai_disabled 0"), the combines still don't know where
to go because none of the info_nodes seem to be working anymore.
I can resolve the issue by quitting the game completely and restart
it. Then all is well, until it randomly happens again. Any
thoughts on this curious little annoyance?
