Heres what your gonna want to do. Make a prop_phyisics and browse for a world model.

And this is where the matress is:

models/props_c17/FurnitureMattress001a.

Enjoy.

Snark, you got it right except for making it a prop_physics.

According to the reference docs;

"Prop_ragdoll | Physics props with ragdoll physics skeletons. Have all the properties of physics props and can also use the rigid body ragdoll physics system to have multiple colliding or bending parts. Very expensive to move and render.

Examples: Corpses, multi-piece cardboard boxes, mattresses."

Thus one would be led to believe that for a mattress a prop_ragdoll must be used.

Ragdolls in multiplayer maps are a bad idea, mainly because the bones need to be calculated every second someone throws the matress (plus source is calculating dead ragdoll bodies). If you do use them then use them sparingly, like maybe 2 at the most.

Also note you should only have less than 10 ragdolls in 1 map. Its in the SDK documents.

yeh, you ever notice how in overwatch, whenever someone shoots a ragdoll car with the grav gun, the server lags like none other? -- calculating the car, w/doors etc moving, other people moving, getting hit, and everything else going on. ugh
