How would I go about creating custom weapons and putting them in-game?
I tried looking for tutorials but I coudln't find anything. Thank you
for your time.

You would most likely need to create your own mod first. I am not to sure you can overwrite the models in HL2 without doing so.

look into mods, then models.

If you want just different weapon models, they're easy- just place them in your models/weapons directory and make sure they have the right name and are configured to work with the current game.

Otherwise, you'll need to learn to code your own new mod. See Wavelength for coding tutorials; whilst I couldn't see anything there explicitly telling you how to add new weapons, there are some weapon modifying tutorials which should point you in the right direction.

and there is alos a config file you can edit to change the damage done and amount of ammo in each clip, and amount of ammo you can hold maximum.
