-Monqui despite my crack about it, I do find Pollocks work interesting, if only form a "wow how the hell could someone create a fractal by hand!?!" kinda way.
Oh, I certainly know what you mean. I don't even try to ascribe any explicit emotion to his work, either (I.E. "This represents his inner turmoil resulting from him eating a bad burrito" kind of a thing)... I simply look through the chaos and just see... Something I find beautiful. I really don't know how else to explain it, to be honest.

Then don't bother trying. Flash MX (We've had this convo before) is about 50MB+ And its not very learner friendly.

Ok, I understand. I'll try to take flash classes in school and see if I can learn.

Well, it is, imho.

The tutorials & lessons are clear and comprehensive, and there are sites like www.flashkit.com to help you with other questions.

I learned flash & actionscript without many problems ... just like mapping ... practice, practice and ... practice.

There's probably other programs out there that could let you get the same effect.

Like a spirograph, for instance.

Yeah I was trying to do an atom with the elctrons flying in their eliptical orbits, but thats what it turned out as.

Here ya go. much more interesting.

That is the electron density isosurface of Trinitrotoluene (TNT) maybe you should use the schrodinger equation to generate your petterns if you are going for atomic orbitals.

The Schrodinger Equation tells us how to find the wave functions and energies for a quantum system.
If you explain it to me I'll have a go, as my knowledge of chemistry is only high-school.

It was really just a joke. The schrodinger equation for a complex 3 dimensional system like a molecule is a linear partial differential equation in three variables. This is a subject for an entire textbook, not a quick explaination.

Let's just say that solving the Schrodinger wave equation is "distinctly non-trivial".

Graphical methods ahoy! Which would seem more suited to Flash anyway...
