I'm sick of starting a map and cancelling it after 5 minutes because the idea sucks or it's not fun to make.
So what I do is, I ask for your idea and if I got some good ones I will actually use them for making a new L4D map.

The map is probably going to be a survival map.

How about a fairy stalled in the middle of a lake or river or maybe docked to a port and you can defend from the bow, stern or bridge?

I don't play L4D, but i do have an abamdoned vmf of a ferry, that I started before Shipshape. Its got most of the hard parts done. Want it?

How about a survival map set at a ski-resort on top of a mountain. Great potential for awesome scenery, and mixture of architecture and natural surroundings. The map could be called "Last Resort"...and focus mainly the ski-lodge and parking grounds, with a broken gondola snaking up the mountain.

This was actually a theme I wanted to do, but I just don't have time.
