As the description says, this is a typical nib topic :D

Anyways, what's the rarest bird you've ever seen? Also, by rare I mean rare for your country (A blackbird which is the most common bird in my country, may be very rare in someone else's!).

I think mine is the Black Redstart which I saw last year.

I guess Aaron and I can say the Emu, second largest flightless bird, after the African Ostrich. Emus may travel at up to 50km/h and can grow up to 190cm in height.

I'd put up a picture, but I can't be bothered, I'm doing my maths assignment, just look the bird up at Wikipedia

Do we have to see it in real life or do pictures count?

In 1997 on my way to truck driving school I saw a cloud formation that with no imagination required resembled a Phoenix flying into the rising sun. It was just before sunrise and the cloud was a bright angry red. Sadly this was before my digital camera days and I didn't have a film camera handy. I'd have given anything for a snapshot.

That I suppose is about as real as a Phoenix can be methinks.

The best things in life, aren't things.
