If you've installed Ad Aware, run it. Then start the scan. Once its finished, just click all the checkboxes to the files it found and click next.

can't recall about adaware, but spybot will allow you to immunize and block many future issues.. i prefer spybot..

but you must chose, cause adaware and spybot do not like each other..

google search spybot

If you run Ad Aware every week (if you do lots of surfing on different sites) if not, every 2 weeks should do.

If you are referring to those grey pop up ads on your desktop, there is another way to stop them.On you computer go to:

control panel/administrative tools/services

now scroll down to messenger and set it to manual or disable (I personally dont use messenger so I just disabled it)

This will stop unwanted pop ups while playing CS.

Hope this helps!

I prefer Spybot way more than Ad-Aware, I've tried both but ad-aware seemed to, well, addy for me. The best combination for ad blocking is to use a program to block ads (ZoneAlarm has one) and then set cookies to prompt, and only allow the select few pages you need to have cookies and from then on your scans will be clean like my own.

lol Orph you seem to have a program running on your computer that sticks in Javascript on HTML pages- I'm guessing you installed a popup stopper? In which case get rid of it, Google toolbar works 99%

I downloaded spybot and it seems grand. Only thing is it takes ages to update compared to adaware. Probably worth it if it does in fact find more stuff.

Well if you're using XP I recommend just having the shell zip and WinRAR for other archive needs.
