I just got Xbox Live the other day, and I've really been enjoying it.
Anybody else from the snarkpit got it, or played on it in the past? If
anyone does use it, what games you play on it? Feel free to add me to
your friends if you play any of the following games...
Project Gotham Racing 2
Crimson Skies
Amped 2
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Got a few niggles with the whole thing though, mostly that sometimes
the server lists that come up for games are extremely empty. I've read
that this is because it looks for people in servers at your skill
level, which is a good idea i guess, but when it just then lets you
choose from a list of 3 nigh on empty servers, it can seem a bit
annoying. I reckon there should be an option to show all servers too.
Oh and the Splinter Cell multiplayer bug, in which it won't let you
ping the servers properly or it crashes. Means you can't wait for the
server list to display the connection speed or player numbers in any
server, so its just trial and error. Apparently they are working on a
patch already, but for the time being it is really annoying.
EDIT: My gamertag is ReNo84

Hmm, i can see where people who think that are coming from, but I guess
its a personal choice. A person like me, who really enjoys games such
as PGR and Amped, its definately worth getting, as racing games and
extreme sports games are always vastly superior on consoles, and in
particular the Xbox. If you are a person who only likes FPS games or
something then it probably wouldnt be worth getting, as the ones
available (XIII, RTCW, etc...) are pretty much all available as
superior versions on the PC.
Its also quite amazing how some games incorporate XBL into single
player stuff, most notably PGR2. Every single player race will have the
worlds best stats for it displayed while you play, and you can use
their ghost cars to compete against. PC games have yet to use internet
access in this way, and its really nice to have this sort of feature
finally incorporated the way it should be.
