1) Do rad patches get calculated for SKY texture faces?

2) Can you use the SKY texture the same as NULL? (I've heard conflicting reports about this)

2) You can, however it's not recommended. I've heard many reports of frame rate disasters in doing this too much. Now that the null texture exists, it's not worth the risk.

with the advent of, or about 1010's patch i think, you could apply a sky texture to a normal texture and the map would not crash as it once did.. but the benefit it caused , didn't seem to work out as planned.

this was one of those magical tweaks that didn't pan out very well.. i tried it, i failed miserably to get it to work.

the only reason i post this comment at all, was to inform you that you didn't always have the option of using this method.
