the mod plane shifter need some mappers we already have one but it is going to be a big mod so we will need a one or two more. positions are open for moddelers and a coder. we also despratly need a web master. our first web master made us a temporay site but did not have time to make a official site.

game play the mod take place in midevil times it will be an rpg. players will fight side by side or go solo in the ultimate serch for gold, glory and power. many whepons and magic items will be avalable. players will gain gold and xp by slaying monsters and compleeting tasks. then they can go to the shop to purchase we whepons and armour. this should make a very good mod. if you are intrested contact me @ grifbd@aol.com or go to www.stuffmod.cjb.net and sign up for the forums. and please keep in mind the link above is a tempary site and will be improved upon. thx :biggrin:

How exactly is it going to be a RPG? I think your ideas need to be
clearer and have more depth if you're seriously considering a mod. Good

lol AOL. Do you have a design document for us to read? Your comments were kinda bland and vague...kinda like some presedential canidates.

well the races each have diffrent movement speeds and hit points so if you a half ling you are oing to be faster but weaker than an orc. also the gold system will be simalar to cs but there will be a shop and u his the buy kew and buy whepon armour and magic. gold is obtaind by slaying monsters and compleeting tasks it can also be obtained by selling old amour and goods. also some race may not be able to use sertain whepons like a half-ling can not weild a great sword nor can a oger cast a high level spell because it is as smart as a brick. also races will have diffrent combat styles an orc will smash down a door and charge in to battle while a half-ling my pick the lock on the door and pick off foes one by one with a cross bow. the basic game, whepons and class and race system will be based directly from the dungons and dragons rule books because it has some of the best midevil recorces and details. this game will be online and players will form in to groups or go alone and adventure througe the planes of fire, the etreal plane, the shadow relm, the outer planes and more. the gamewill not be played from beging to end it will alow players to wander paths and caves and then back track to the neares town. some players will have abilites depending on class that others dont alowing them to get to areas un accesable to any other class. the world will be devided in to towns, dungons, and other areas. there will be some npc's in shops ect that you can talk to and will give u missins to compleet in returen you will recive gold and other rare items. each race will its own model. and each class will have its one equipment. monster will turn up any where depending on where the can be found and and how also defeant a moster will ern you xp and gold when u gain a level you will gan access to new spells and abilites also new whepons will be avalible. if you want any more info just let me know

Maybe you should consider joining them? I'm not saying your mod is a bad idea, it's just that it is alot of content to do and this mod is much further along.

It sounds like you have some good ideas, but I would hope that you have them written out in a more logical and clear form in a design document. At the moment, there is too much potential for misunderstanding from what is written - you need to be clear, concise and correct when writting out things like this to ensure everyone on your team is reading from the same book.

Also, are you the leader or lead designer for this mod? If so, I don't won't to dwell on this, but english skills are a must for these positions. Posts such as the one you just made, are extremely difficult to read, as they lack paragraphing and grammar. Its worth spending a little bit of time reading over your own posts to ensure your spelling is as correct as you can be sure of, and your grammar is correct. The most obvious flaw here is the lack of capital letters, which is both obvious and off putting for any potential recruits.

Finally, this sounds like a rather large project that has yet to really get underway, and despite this you are making it for the HL1 engine. By the time you see a first beta, HL2 will not only have been released, but probably have stolen the vast majority of HL1 players. I think you should scrap the project for HL1 and spend the next couple of months doing extensive planning, including concept papers, design docs and more (weapons lists, spell lists, character lists, concept art, etc...). This will allow you time to solidify your ideas, hopefully pick up a team, have everybody clear on what you are making, and a fresh new engine with a large market of players.

we have a modeler and a programer and one mapper but this ig going to be a big mod and we need more or les 3 mappers
