A few people here might remember a movie project I started up last year (didn't want to get the old thread back up). We entered
in an art contest and had our movie shown in public on a big screen.

I finally found a good mirror to host this movie on, download it here,
25 mb zip file. This is a low-res version, but the quality is still
pretty good : http://users.pandora.be/history/forceflow/0599.htm

Don't look for a story, or some professionalism in it. This contest
aimed at no-budget projects by the youth. Just sit back and enjoy the
madness.

I'm quite proud of the intro (the pictures). The rest was filmed pretty
quickly. The main story is: the character runs away from the mirror ...
he runs away from what he has become, he's scared of himself. The
characters with the black capes are his "fears". (I must mention that
when they "arrive", it looks very Lotr). The story plays backwards. We
weren't able to put the story in it clearly, due to lack of time.

Dont put suggestions here, this project has been dead and buried for a
year now. It was great fun ending up with 400 people watching your
creation on a big screen, with surround sound blowing out of every
corner, while you keep wondering why they selected this .... thing

That's pretty cool Force, even if it made no sense. What's that song
with the woman humming? The one that plays in the LOTR scene.

lol ... there is some dutch on the page, but I think the "DOWNLOAD" link is quite obvious, not ?

here's the direct download: http://users.pandora.be/bladesinger/0599_vlucht.zip

@ alien_sniper. The woman humming song is Enya - Boadicea, but we h4xed
the pitch and speed up a bit, so it's very different from the original
version. Other used songs that I can remember:

Kraftwerk - ElektroKardiagramm (intro)

Underworld - Kittens (teh drums)

Moby - 18 (end credits)

Something from Jean-Michel Jarre

Something from Adiemus

it wouldn't have made much sense to me without you explaining it, so i'm glad that you did.

it seems somewhat dark subject matter for a youth project. how did it fair in the contest?

[edit] i was only joking  i was dl'ing it as i posted that [/edit]

myes ... we got a maximum of 5 minutes, so a romantic comedy, Richard
Gere-style wasn't an option (we didn't have anyone with the looks,
either  ). And we always wanted to do something with
odd music and odd images. The Nightvision on the camera came in very
handy. (the greeny fuzzy shots.)

I take the fact that it was shown on the big screen as a very good point in the contest.

Any chance you have the modified song lying around gathering dust just waiting for some dashing young fellow to come along?

could be ... remind me tomorrow, it's 3:30 AM now, and I need some rest.

A lot of people like that part. Great.

edit. I don't have the original one anymore, but I could sure re-do
it ... I think I remember the settings and all ... just pitch and speed
