I've been home 3 days now, and Im already bored. School starts in a week and a half and Im working night shifts at the Ottawa Super Ex as a parking attendant. But in between, Im bored. I've already finished pretty much every game I own, and I cant buy any new ones because they wont run thanks to my video card.
And I dont have the money to get a new video card either, so Im still stuck on my GF4 MX440 64mb PCI card toped off with my friend's MX440 AGP card he gave me last night cause he got a new FX5700 256mb. Its not much of a improovement. So cant buy games, and dont have the money to upgrade.
My situation then, do something thats fun and free. Well, I already have a corner desk thats black, a few months ago I painted my mouse black and my monitor black. And they still look good. Paint hasent faded on my mouse nor have I been able to scratch the paint off. Not that I tryed really hard either. But with all that, I still had a ugly white keyboard. Actually, because of the dirt it was more off-white than white.
So I took it appart and cleaned it in a solution of warm water and pin sol. After it was dry the keyboard was white again. And clean, no more sticky keys. But that wasent enough. So I grabed my can of spray paint and painted the body of the keyboard in black with what paint was left in the can. I left the keys white. And when I reassembled the thing it looked F'ing nice. Black keyboard with bright white keys.
All in all it was fun to do, and took me about 2 hours, because drying the keys was a pain in the ass. The paint dryed in like 5 to 10 minutes or so. Now I have a matching keyboard to go with the case, mouse, and monitor. Now all I need (besides a life) is money so I can get a better video card. Gonna need that for when Half-Life 2 comes out... When it comes out...
As for my modding, I wont be doing any more for a while as I've run out of cash and I'd rather get a new video card then spend the money on equipement. The only reason I did my keyboard was because I had leftover paint and time to waste. And I was bored. Future mods though, I will be painting the back panel of my computer black and doing some touch ups on the inside as well, gonna paint my CD drive and A drive black, including the CD tray. Gonna swap the keyboard LEDs, CD and A drive LEDs, monitor LED and Power LED for blue ones instead of green and swap the orange HDD LED for a red one.
Thats about all I can think of for now. I'd give you guys some pictures of my keyboard, but I dont have the cable for the digi cam and the webcam is with my brother's PC, which is at a friend's house until tomorow night.

But surely you made this post:

I removed the bread from the breadbin taking great care not to drop the delicious slices on the dirty floor. I made the sandwich with no major complications. The only casualty today was my white shirt, which was now covered in crumbs. I'd tell you how I removed the crumbs but this is neither the time nor the place. Eating the sandwich was as uneventful as the preparations and I made my way to my computer completely satisfied. I then made this post:</DIV>

Today I got up around 9:30. I then procedded to taking a shower, after wards I went down stairs to play the beta test of CS: Source. Then I drank a coke, then I play Raven Shield. After that, my dad came home - and I had some mini pizza lunch. Then I went back and played more raven shield. I then decided to check the Sven boards, and was pleased to see some feed back on my Classic map. I then did some work on classic, listened to some DOOM music, did more work on classic, then cleaned up my room. I then came down stairs, and went into the snark pit and saw this, where I made this post :
*bashes his head against the wall cause he can't figure out how Sniper did that funky quote trick
