whenever i try to compile my map it says that the file is "access denied" , and the .map has a adobe icon with a key on it? plz hlp, thnkz

Adobe isn't doing anything. Just associate the map file with notepad/wordpad (In folder options, too complicated to fully explain, and I don't know what os you have). In XP there is an option in the right click menu to "Open File with..." Use that.

all versions of windows have open with... if it doesnt when you right click on the file hold shift and right click,

Ive noticed .rmf files are classed as 'adobe rights managment files' with the key icon but not .map's?

I've got it worse.

.map files are apparently .mdl files :leper:

Or you could skip possible issues and just open the map from in the editor.

WOW! I never knew this... Now I don't have to go through 5 minutes of changing to make torrents go with Bit Torrent instead of Shareaza everytime I run them.

I've seen the same thing on my other compy with the rmf files. But as said, the map files were already under notpad
