How would I enable the super grav gun (that you get in HL2 SP) be a
pickup in HL2DM? I think it would be a great pickup. Kind of like the
redeemer in UT.

Create an env_global entity in your level, put "Global State to Set" to Super phys gun is enabled, and for "Initial State" put On.

(this is how to do it for single player- Lep.)

Um, there are tutorials out there that say to do what Joe-Bob said...so...maybe it only works in HL SP?

I think it may only work in SP but I wont give up! :leper: anyone else want to have a stab?

Well this seems to be a topic on many other forums. No one has quite
been successful on making a custom map with it yet. Or a multiplayer
map for that matter. You can however trick the SP by loading that last
level with the blue grav gun and then loading another level and you
will have it. Aparently it is buggy with items not in the citadel (i.e.
it crashes the game if you pick up cars). So if anyone is successful
with it right now, it would either have to be a mod or if it does work
in MP it will crash servers. Any thoughts?

Um...wait for a patch? :wink: Seriously, I think this just isn't possible at the moment.

On second thought, try changing some of the physcannon_* cvars perhaps? To simulate a blue-grav gun?

Simple answer: you can't. It's power is determined by the earlier answer, and if you notice that everyone in HL2DM starts off with a normal grav gun then this will mean everyone starts with one.

Acutally, if you place an logic_auto, and go into its properties, and
click the box to bring out a list of options, theres one to say that
its the super grav gun enabled. Maybe thats how.
