Ok I have added a Elevator into my map, from this tut
(here) and
it works ok but there are some probs.

It goes to the top floor (there are only 2 levels) and once it gets
there it goes stright back down. How do I make it go to the top level
(lvl 2) once the lvl 1 button is press, hold for 3 seconds, and then
return to lvl 1 and stay there??

Thanks in advance...

there are old elevator prefabs that deal with this at Prefabland.. try searching there.. a prefab is a wonderful tut.

By "old prefab" he meant for HL1. They should be compatible, and if they're not perfectly compatible, at least you might be able to find out what process you should try to follow.

Hmm, now that I think about it, I don't know how useful those old tuts will be. No more multimanagers or master entities anymore...

well, i can assure you that i will find something that i am unable to grasp in lieu of those pesky MM's
you are looking at the only 5 year vet who never created a single functioning multi-manager setup. blushes and for my ass, i know not why.

If you are using the path_corner entity, there is a "wait for retrigger" flag that you can set. Alternatively, you can set a delay so that the lift will go up, pause, and come back down.
