im making buildings for n outside map and have run out of ideas on what basis to make them and cretain textures to use ive made a warehouse, bout halfway through a multistory carpark and have made a shop. Should i just put in randum buildings or should i make my map correspond to its sourroundings? I have also thought about putting in an overpass just to make it look more city like but its too small what should i do?

You should stick to a theme when you make your map. The overall feel would be more consistent this way, and the map would look cohesive instead of wierd.
If the overpass doesn't fit, then don't include it. Use the idea in your next map, perhaps.
