I have searched the web for what Portal Flow, so I can try and fix it
on my own. Im not quite sure what Portal flow is doing? But here is the
problem.

I am using the Source Hammer Editor for CounterStrike:Source, and its
runmap compiler tool. ( if there is a better tool please let me know )

As soon as it gets to the portal flow part of the compile, it begins to
bog down and slow. I have had the Portal Flow running for 2 days now
and it is only at 7 on the scale (
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...0 (??) ) .

What should I do? how do I fix this problem?

I am willing to send anyone the map and any files they may need like
the vmt ( wad ) file and the sound file I have.. if it will help figure
out how to fix this.

portal flow is when vvis is trying to determine what parts of your
level have to be drawn when your standing at certain places. the more
complicated the map, the longer it'll take. take a look here to find
out what to do with it:

i had this same problem: protalflow just stopped at 6, so i changed my map up, took out some unessecary stuff, and compiled in 6 seconds :smile: great guide, btw
