I've noticed that for some reason textures change their scales for some
reason, in some cases making it looked very stretched out. It
never was real bad but right now I'm working on a roof for my CS map
and it will be right next to a window that players can see it.
here's a pic of whats happening. Help would be awesome, thanks as
usual guys.

Assuming HL2 is like HL1:

Textures alter their scale for only one reason that i am aware of, a clipped surface.

if you clipped it for any reason the texture may differ from face to face.

Yea, the one on the right I clipped to make the design I wanted. So is there anyway to fix this issue?

Personally, i just resize it to fit, but you could always try to world, or right clicking to get it to align..

Sorry but I'm not sure how to go about doing those things if you could explain. Sorry.

To fit: use the texture applicator to resize the texture to match the one you deem accurate.

To world: use the texture applicator to fit it to world.

Right click: use the texture applicator, left click on the texture you deem correct, then right click on the other surfaces to align.

thats the short answer, but it should suffice.

/me goes back to pouting.

I'm not sure I know where the fit to world option is. The other
two dont work though. The scales are both .25 even though its
clearly different. I'll try to find a scale for the one that
works closely. Also the right click doesnt work on it, they stay
diff scales.

look at the screen.. one is rotated 180* out from the other.. rotate it and see if it scales properly.

this usualy works for me, set the one that doesnt fit to -0.25 x and -0.25 y and then rotate it 90.

im not sure we got the same problem, but when i get something similar to this, that is what i do.
