Ok, In some sci-Fi movies, like star wars, they had elevator lifts that slowly rotated as they went up.. is there a way to get this effect in a HL2DM map?

Without going into details, a rotating (via phys_thruster?) func_physbox attached (via a hinge?) to a vertically moving platform should do it. Or maybe just a func_rotating, there are lots of things you can do with the parent property.

Of course you can, they had them in HL1, search the net for a tut- I'm sure there is one. I think they use a func_door_rotating in HL 1 with a verticle lip and stuff.

I think there's a func_platrot which does exactly what you want.

(It was used in HL1 a couple of times, and it's still in HL2.)
