I am currently using Paint Shop Pro, but it's quite cumbersome to use when it comes to printing 4x6 in photos or standard wallet size photos (multiple pictures on the same photo paper or a collage of photos).

I looked at Picasa 2, but it's a huge program just for this one purpose. I wish Paint Shop Pro could do a better job at that.

Can anyone recommend something you're using and loving? Thanks.

Photoshop.

It's fairly simple really. If you want multiple printouts on one page, of course you'll have to put them together your self.

But, I suggest Photoshop, since the PSD format alone has very high quality. I'd also suggest having things at a resolution of 300 (very high) if you plan on printing them, anything lower and there is compression and evidence of possible stretching.

You can get Photoshop to put multiple images on one sheet its in File>Automate>Contact Sheet II it will resze them and will do loads on a sheet you just tell it how many rows and columns you want.

I use the software that came with my printer (Epson Stylus C66) to print onto photo quality paper as it sets its self up and lets me just press print.

I think the printing software that came with your printer is the way to
go since I assume it's more suitable for your machine than a universal
printing program.

If not, Acdsee has a pretty good printing tool.

Thanks dudes. I've found the printer software, and it does come with that feature. I've forgotten about it.

News to me, thanks.

Uh ... in ANY program you print in it IS software that came with your printer. The drivers tell the system exactly how to use that printer, if you mean software software that comes with your printer, that's bulls**t, because that software is as ignorant as the software you (may) already have.

Not in my case -- i'm the proud owner of an ML-2250 printer and i'm
having
problems printing high-res stuff when not using the software that came
with it. I'm not talking about the promotional software cause you're
right: it is bulls**t. I guess it might be an issue with the outdated
driver but I can't be bothered to update it right now.

Something else is wrong then, I'm sure.

How come the quoted text you have is different to his original post, and has a mysterious sentence he never actually said?

Simple, I edited the post AFTER he clicked reply  . s**t happens.

And yes, that is abnormal behaviour mainly as a result of that practically
antique driver which i'm too lazy to update. I heard other people have
had similar problems with their printers so that's why I said what I
said (damn, now I sound like Popeye  ).
