You know your normal MMORPGs wih the point-click attacks that are
usually referred to as "hands-off combat"? Well I say forget them! This
game is totally awesome.

To sum it up, it takes The Specialists, makes the controls way easier,
and putts it all on an MMO-like platform where you level up and your
stats are saved globally. It also has cool music. AND it's an open beta
so you can boast to your buddies that "I helped beta-test this one cool
game..."

In case anyone is interested, My character name is Mifune-san, Lvl.20
and I usually hang out in the General Channel #1 of Server 3.

I heard about this a while ago. It's made by a Korean based group, if I'm not mistaken.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Yes, it's made by MAIET, a Korean company. It's been out in Korea for a
couple of years now, but theyre finally porting it over to the US.

Its really buggy still isn't it? I had a few friends that started
playing it, but god fed up of the glitches and just gave up on it. I'm
not a fan of MMORPG's but this is a pretty cool idea, i might give it a
go when they release a demo or something.

It's an alright game that you can spend your time on when you've got
nothing else to do. There are many hackers running around the
servers, unfortunately. It's not really a MMORPG. It's more
of a... FPS with RPG-like qualities. Not really Massively
Multiplayer. Try it out for yourself and see.

If anyone cares, my name on GunZ is AlexW, level 13, and I try to
connect to server #1. I also like long walks on the beach... blah
blah blah...

All the servers were full when I tried, so I still haven't actually played yet.

I downloaded it, played it, and thought its not bad.. But Id rather
play Matrix online since this game rips it off something fierce... Or
many of the other on-line shooters..

But since its free right now, I guess I will give it a longer look.

I have so many games right now, that take my time This one had to be
much better than it is to grab me, and pull me away from other games
like HL2, swat4, tribes vengence, Joint Operations amoung others.

Oh by the way im Muhnayshot on the game.

This is similar in a way to what I wanted my HL2 mod to be, except more futuristic and stealthy and evil...

heh, thanks for checking it out... Some of the levels in that game REALLY need a good mapper to take care of them...

Geeze, dude!

I'd advise people to not bother with this game. Bad net code and even worse graphics! Quake 2 looks way better. The models are all blocky, the maps are terrible... Eugh! I can't believe Koreans pay to play this game!?

Well net code as I said is poor- constant lagging of every player- I'm on ADSL, it should be fine. HL2 runs perfect online, so why shouldn't a game with inferior abilities and graphics and movement be worse? And graphics do help a game for obvious reasons, especially if the quality is that of Unreal Tournament 1, if not less.

I thought the graphics were good, Myrk. Better than many MMO's I've seen.

What you smoking?! Everythings square blocks, the models are max of 100 polys, its appaling! Geeze! Take a good look, you'll see. The only good thing is the water reflections. I have everything set on full graphics too.

I checked the website, but I couldn't seem to get any major information on the game type. Is it co-op? Deathmatch? Diablo2 teamwork-and-occasional-battling-another-player?

Edit: Just watched one of their videos -- it appears to be DM. :/
Breaking the laws of mapping since 2003 and doing a damn fine job at it

Its just a dm game, but a main database saves all your info and character, which you increase skills and shizzle over time. Good idea, poorly made. Not worth playing in my opinion, unless you don't mind lag on adsl, and graphics that are outdated by most games from 1995...
