I had an old game that had many patches but none seemed to work...I read and read until I discovered that you have to install all patches before even opening the game. Alas I had to reinstall the whole game wiping all saves and then install all updates, patches until it worked.
Ah yes could you post pictures of Silent Hill 2 monsters for me if you get a chance! I need some ideas for a design. Thanks.

Even so all you do is install game, then the patch and then click open game. It should work hopefully otherwise it might be a hardware issue...Perhaps the game uses old hardware specs.

What sound hardware you got? I find Creative cards are a bunch of crap! The newer Creative cards don't even work with GTA:SA! Appalling, really is. My Nforce2 chip is better at doing sound emulation than my sound card, so I removed it. Fixed every problem, but now I have crap midi processing :-/
On that note, anyone know where I can get a good midi driver for Nforce 2 chipsets?

Theres your problem... Got onboard sound on your mobo? Use that. Also it could be because your sound card isn't plugged into your CD drive like they used to be able to. I'm sure Crono can correct me.
