This is really driving me mad:

How do you guys make texture transitions work for room changes? I can
never find the right texture to transist with short of putting the
square block texture in every other room.

If you're using the same texture on each side of the door, just use
that same texture inbetween. If you look at most doorways, they
often continue what was on one of the sides up to the edge of the door.

-_-

I know that, but it still looks odd, I put the line there to show you the part I meen, even if they join up without that it still has 2 textures against each other that do not go.

I think the point is is that having a sudden | transition between the textures looks odd.

Don't worry too much about a small line, it's not going to usually be
terribly noticeable and most real life building have lines between two
different concrete slabs anyway... Just make that area under the
door match one of the floors.

Or use a slightly raised brush with some sort of metal/wood/plastic texture, as happens often in real life.

If it's the problem that it's the same texture, but not aligned the
same, then open the Face Edit Sheet, select one of the floor textures
and Alt + right click on the brush in the doorway. This aligns the
texture to the selected face.

Well, the little line; don't just ignore it, I see maps with people that do that all the time, and it looks like garbage having a line like that... If its a odd looking line like people said before, aling to the same world or face. If not I usually just set my X, Y shift and scale to 0,0 and it goes smooth, without a line. Or just make sure the texture shift and scale are both the exact same.

Cyax, what Captain P said about selecting the texture on one face then holding alt and right-clicking on the face next to it, makes aligning textures easier than messing around with scales and shifts.
