ive gone from Source to HL1 (NS more specifically).

Ive completed about 20% of the brushwork on my map, and only have enough lights to keep the sections lit, nothing relaly fancy. But ive noticed that im already at like 40% of available lightdata? Everything else is low, but the light one is crazy high in comparison.

I cant really post my log right now, as my net is down on my home comp (im at school). But im just trying to figure out whats wrong with this situation, before i go and complete the map, only to find out that half of it cant be lit.

Um. ? Is there actually a problem when you run the map or is it just something it says in the compile log?

In any case, post up your log when you can.

its just that ive only created about 20% of my map.. but im at like half of the lightdata allowed.

It DOES say 'variable', but still.. i looked at other NS maps, and they
all seem to have lights all over the place. Just an odd thing...

You didn't answer my question.

lightdata is a physical size, as far as I know. (6MB maximum by default, but you can specify higher)

crono, it looks like he's just worried about the % of default lightdata that's been used up in comparison to default %'s of other 'stuff', and how it looks set to go past 100% before the map gets finished. but like you said, you can allocate more if it's needed.

stixs, this should be in your favourites links.
