I don't play anymore, but I played for many years and probably stopped sometime last spring.

When I was on 56k I would always play as a soldier, because I could
just lead my rockets a little more to compensate for the lag.

When I got on cable I switched to engy since I could use the SS and I
eventually got pretty good at the medic. Concmaps were pretty fun
as well.

I still map for TFC occasionally, its my favorite game to map for.

Yeah, I play it a lot. Unfortunately, so many servers are just full of bots.

concmaps always got a bad reception here. there was always calls for them to have more detail/be less boxy, but i don't think many of the regulars understood the scale that the rooms needed to be for a decent jump.

once the esporthalle server went down i rarely played a conc map, but i'd still have the occasional run on dustbowl. that seems to be a thing of the past, now that i've found dod:s.

maybe i'll take an interest again if fortress forever gets released with concing intact.

I loved the conc_speed series.

The textures and lighting made it easy on the eyes, compared to some of
the other maps which use really ugly dark cliff textures.
