I've been using it a lot trying to tweak cliff faces, but it's not
really working out well. I'm looking forward to Finger's cliff
tutorial.

Even with the barrel upright, I cannot be completed protected from incoming fire. Rolling it on the side exposes your entire head, which can get you killed fast.

Physics props are a valuable addition to CS:Source, if only for the fact that they increase the danger radius of the bomb. I know someone whos been killed by flying barrels after the bomb went off.

I don't know about that. When the bomb goes off, I could be a mile away and still suffer damage or die. You don't need flying barrles for that.
