For all of you who have played FEAR you will remember Norten Mapes, the chubby little man with a love for Cheezy Poos. Well yea..... enjoy.

Why would we use Gabes copy to play HL2. Obvously you have to buy your own.

Well it's a joke about fear and gabe. If you played FEAR then you know that you meet up with this fat bastard named Norton Mapes. Besides being a butt-hole he does other things like say "Want some cheezy pooz? Get your own!". I was just a little miffed about how you have to buy a whole new copy of half life 2 just to have a little lan action in your house. And I'm also mad at steam for other reasons but I won't bore you with those.

I actually thought that this character was a 'not so subtle' laugh at Gabe Newell. I mean, not to be stereotypical or crass but It sure looks like him.

I do not suppose that creating a shadow that matches the pose of the fatboy is asking to much?

Nice file size though. Good job.

For the record, you do not have to have multiple copies to play lan. At least I never did and I played lan much more frequently than online.

If your router is functioning correctly, you can play HL2 just fine off of one disk.

Joking?

My router took care of everything bud. I made a game in lan, my son refreshed list and joined.

Was no different that with HL1 TBH.

Course, I had a router and some may not but seriously, only one disk number was required.
I have yet to reset up the system because all my stuff is in storage. With 56k I didn't foresee the need of a router. Now I wish I had kept it out but hindsight and all that jazz.

Actually, all you have to do is all log in to the same Steam
account. I have Lan parties all the time. Just log into the
same account, install the games and then play LAN.

Obviously, this is what I intended. Since I only have the one disk, one can only assume that I logged in as me.

My router took care of the interaction between machines. I did nothing special.

You must have not played FEAR then, because you'd know that that is your shadow. I am shining my flashlight at him so his shadow is behind him.

P.S Its not really lan, its that you cant share your games with your friends now.
