Why is it that my model doesnt look like its holding a gun? It looks like he is flying around standing (no walking), and has his gun where his dick should be.

I wasnt sure if this is a HL2 Editing thread queston thing or not. To be on the safe side I posted it here. This is a SAS model for the CT in CSS, this is not HL2DM

Well...it isn't an SAS model, it's a combine prison guard from HL2  You can't just plonk a model from HL2 or something into CSS, nor vice versa, as the animations don't match. The reason he is in that pose is that is the "reference" pose for the model. The game can't find the right animation that it is looking for and so just displays the reference pose.

for comic reasons, however, using that could be quite fun
of course, it's a lot harder to remain unseen

Other people won't see the model - the file has only been replaced on his computer, so other people will still be loading up the default one.

This is something I liked about the Jedi Knight games, all the animations were implicit (like a scripted file or something as such) so, if you made a new model that fit the specifications, it'd work, animations and all.

Anyway, Reno is correct.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

If you validate your CS:S files it should put the real model in there.
