Haven't really played any games enough to know the names of specific
maps, but I can see you've listed Natural Selection and I must agree.
Most of the maps are just so amazing.

Ghost Recon advanced warfighter for X360. Every level is a pleasure for my eyes.

Crossfire2 for HLDM.

Non in HL2DM, its an awful game. Whens HL1DM source out, or is it?

stack, temple - Goldeneye 007
si_urban, si_daybreak, si_overtime - Science and Industry
rock2, cz2, 2fort - TFC

It would be far simpler to list the maps I truly hate since the list would be a bit smaller.

Dude, there are some quality maps there.

But seriously, I must play a map in order to dislike it and.. I have played a grand total of "1" killbox in my life. I do not hate them as much as avoid.

My worse of the most played maps is "Gasworks"

Thats the s**ttiest of the most played maps I know of.

In terms of minutes played, for CS de_dust would take the number 1 position, yet there are others that I really enjoyed, like de_prodigy and de_foption.

rock2 in TFC, along with hunted.

banshee boardwalk or bowser's castle in mario kart 64

cs_chopperattack (never really popular, mainly because it was
interesting only when you had more than 10 people playing) and
crossfire, because having 5 people who are all sprinting for the RPG in
the middle of the yard at the same time blown up by a single satchel charge is great fun  .

As far as user-made levels go, the BoaM series for MotS was just amazing.

For professional levels, System Shock 2 was just plain amazing, it's difficult to divide it into levels.

Yea, true.

Now that you mention it, I knew I missed something and it was... singleplayer. There are so many great singleplayer levels that I'm unable to make a favourites list of them.

I'm planning to play some HL1 SP mods in the next few weeks that I missed.

As for HL2: Minerva!

Yea, if I go there... Surface tension, We've got Hostiles, On a Rail... ... ...

I remember the Hong Kong level in Deus Ex as one of my favourite gaming moments (mainly because DX looked so s**tty for half of the game and in the HK levels I finally noticed what the art direction was all about).

A lot of Goldeneye/Perfect Dark levels.

But one more user made map in this category:
The TresCom Ops levels for Trespasser
The TresCom Ops team took Trespasser, a great idea gone wrong, put in years of patience and deliverd a whole new island with new content, models, even weapons and dinosaurs and an atmospheric story. There is no level editor or anything even close to an SDK for that game. They h4xed it until a basic level editor worked and finished it from there. Totally crazy. Probably that's my personal map that "nearly brought tears to my eyes".

[edit] /me fixes link for'ya bud.

I'm really hoping Black Mesa Source will live up to expectations. That will contain my favourite HL2 levels if it does.

Miami (xbox version)- CS

Persia- HLDM

Industry West- CS

Charlie- DoD

Forest- DoD (I loved this map so much I use to play as a sniper for hours)

Glider (DoD)

and many more, unfortunatly I can't remember them all atm.

Secretcity4beta for Sven-Coop absolutely whipped as. The Slidje/MG386 joke was hilarious

Edit: Yea, I know, finished maps only, but I feel that widely played public betas count.
