Ok folks, I've been hard at work upgrading my last place entry for this year. I know there is always room for improvement so I am hoping for your time to make comments/suggestions. I've made numerous additions and cannot add much more detail without driving my video board to its knees. There is always better texturing/lighting of course. So wadda ya think? Am I done......Naaaa, of course not. This map has had no play time so If anyone is in a gaming mood, I'd consider some feedback on playing it pure gold.
P.S. My vote (had I not been a participant) would have gone to Serene. It had the most out of computer experience.(IMHO)

I liked this map and voted for it, after a fashion that is.
I however cannot suffer another 20 megs just to test it... If you have a version very near complete I might then but... With 56k I have to decline until then.
The best things in life, aren't things.

I downloaded this a few days ago and wandered around for 20 minutes or so.
I really liked the feel of the huge wide-open.. hmm.. hangar. I also liked the way the shuttle was lowered on the press of a button (and how you could ride up inside one of those tubes).
The size is at the same time a bit annoying. I spent a long time wandering around, and eventually gave up while looking for that observatory. I turned on noclip and it still took me a couple minutes to find it. The teleporters, while done in an original way, were a bit annoying, it was hard to tell which ones led where, etc.
Regardless, you pulled off the theme very well, everything feels really spaceship-hangar-y, lots of metal textures, signs, warnings.. very large-scale. Very cool visually, but the gameplay - if you intended, anyway - surely suffers from such a huge wide-open area.

Good commentary midk. Thank you. I will try to add some symbols/signs on the teleporters to help. I expected the game play to be definitely slower than your average map. This probably dooms it the the "not played much" pile but I've always enjoyed a large map every now and then as a change of pace and stratagy. I'm currently working on an even larger map that is a sequel to this map that is designed for multi-player with some objectives that should bring the players together. I'm hoping it will be more interesting.

You're welcome, I'd like to see your sequel. Post it!
