Yeah ... on this site, even. You should look around more.

That tut donesn't cover op4 specifically, but it doesn't need to
because it shows you how to set up a HL mod (OP4). In other words its a
"Steam Supported Mod:"

Im afraid theres probably isn't one in existance. Mainly because people
who write tuts figure that people are smart enough to translate/apply
their subject to something else.

The tutorial addresses all possible games for goldsource. That is: all 1st party and 3rd party games and mods. There's even an example of a 1st party game that isn't half-life (day of defeat), as well as a 3rd party mod example.

You need to change the stuff from half-life to opposing force, which is a matter of directories and the fgd (which is linked in the tutorial)

In other words: you should be able to set it up. As far as I know another one doesn't exist, since hammer 3.4 is not integrated into steam, which is the "Valve Platform".

What you're asking is fairly unreasonable. I think you should read the tutorial and perhaps try to follow along in your editor and see if you can pull it off.

An apology isn't necessary.

The source sdk is for editing source games. Half-life 1 is not a source game.
You need hammer 3.4

The hammer used in source is version 4.

I'm not sure where you can get the old hammer. Try a google search.

Mapping for OP4 is no different than mapping for HL1.

Its simply a matter of including the proper SDK. (and textures of course)

Mark Crono's answer correct since it does answer you, even if the answer wasn't the one you were seeking.

First, you should really post your own thread.

Second, you posted pictures with the paths, but... Its the destination folders we need to see, not the beginning.. C:\Programfile....

Third, You need to post a log/error message.

OK, its been ages so...

As far as maps go, you can pretty much load any map into any mod. You'll just be missing key elements specific to the mod. In other words, if I wanted to load a counter strike map in deathmatch I could but the textures would look wrong and the weapons would be missing.

So, if your map fails to load, its prolly something you failed to achieve. You are missing a player start for instance. Or you have your destination folders screwed.

In other words, its more than likely an error you have prior to the map being completed which is preventing the game from loading.

My advice is for you to begin your own thread and post a compile log. The images you posted were of no use for me. Thats not to say someone else may see something I didn't.

Start your own thread since you are only derailing this one from OP4 to Sven.
