Well I think ive finally gotten skilled enough to start a Natural Selection map. This is something ive been wanting todo for years. Ive slowly waited over time for when i thought i was skilled enough to start one.

So First off Since the snarkpit has been rather slow lately i thought maybe the community could lend a helping hand with Ideas/Desings/tricks etc

This could become a fun community project if done right. So post some good ideas/etc and some thoughts on doing this.

Im trying to think up some layouts currently but if anyone has anything that they would like to laydown before i begin give it a go

NS maps are quite big and heavily depend on layout to have a good gameplay.
Unless you're building a co_ map, you'd better be up for hours and hours of playtesting.

I'd love to see another NS map, though.

If you think you're ready, then just do it.
Good luck.

Have you made a layout you work after?
Any thoughts about how the map should be?
Any special spots you've been thinking about?

I Thinking of baseing it as a vehicle creation plant for the TSA

Also The ready room is sort of a incoming marines section with a desk area lights etc for new arrivals to come in and relax.

One of the Alien hives is going to be an area many based on crates :

When making a natural selection map it is extremely important to be prepared when you start to actually make the map.

Most of them are huge and extremely complex (just take a look at any NS-maps overview), its easy to ditch the project if you don't have a clear agenda from the beginning.

Your ideas are really good and original, but I think you need to plan more before actually doing it. Im not doubting that you may finish the project anyway, but trust me, it will be so much easier to make it if you know what to make.
