Get it here:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

They want to hit 3 Million downloads in 24 hours. I wish them good luck.

Still, my first experience with the new Firefox was a negative one. Instead of keeping my bookmarks and settings, it overwrote them by old, outdated ones from a Firefox beta I installed ages ago, essentially deleting anything I added/changed in the past 2 months (which happens to be a lot).

I'm a bit angry now. The first time Firefox has done something that annoys me. Uninstall previous betas to avoid this.

or maybe everything will reappear magically with the next reboot, who knows, wouldn't be the first time.

It'll take a little while for more plug-ins to become compatible. A lot of people who made those things probably didn't grab the FF3 beta and ensure their work would continue on.

In any case, Firefox will let you know when your plug-ins become compatible.

So far, it's already. I was pretty annoyed that the navigation bar doesn't, at default, have back and forward buttons.

It does seem to run much faster, though.

I hope it becomes compatible soon, otherwise I'll have to manually upload the images.... one by one....

Anyway, I was having a look through the Add-ons (tools>Add-ons), and I just downloaded Flagfox  . Its pretty cool, apparently I am viewing this website off a US server at the moment.

Lot's of good plugins out there. Adblock Plus and Filterset.G -> no more adverts (and perfectly FF3 compatible). Works flawless.

My favourite new feature so far is the proper pausable download manager. Such a simple feature these days and one I have been missing for years. Makes some of my plugins obsolete.

I also like the smooth zooming for some reason (ctrl-"+"). More a gimmick, but the new graphics renderer is extremely elegant.

Well, a very good browser. And Microsoft-free. What more can you ask for?

You can also use [ctrl] + the scrolling thing on your mouse.

Oh, they changed the zooming from changing font sizes to the entire page. Neat.
