I've pretty much always had it installed over my Half-Life, Opposing Force & Blue Shift installations. I particularly like how Barney Calhoun's face doesn't look all pale and scary.

I don't like the new character models, most of them look vastly different to the actual characters. Some of the new weapons look alright, but I'm not really interested in the Hi def pack.

There are actually custom packs out there that I think are better.

I only ever thought the zombies and looked any better, plus for whatever reasons I got a lot of crashes with the skins back in the day

I'm one of the few who actually likes the HD pack more ... overall, of course.
