I seem to recall that's why we had to download individual .gdf's (I think that was what they were)
.gcf files.
Actually, this prefab doesn't use anything that any other multiplayer Source game doesn't already use. The only thing particular to L4D2 is the emergency light model. But the thing with Portal 2 and L4D (one and two) they don't even use .gcf files. All their content is located under their respective titles within the 'commons' folder. So, if you want to use that model, you'd have to find the right .vpk file to unpack and extract it.

There is a small black/pink box that rotates with a sprite over it around the area of the room I put it in. Other than that no light emits. Odd.
The black/pink box is the missing model; also, light would emit, but your surfaces may not be close enough. You could increase the spotlight end radius so that it encompasses some geometry in the environment so you can see it or make some world geometry closer.
Otherwise this prefab should work in any multiplayer source game. If you want it in your SP game, turn the
prop_physics_multiplayer into a simple
prop_physics. That's it!
