Half-Life: Deathmatch Mejorada

This is a map I was working on in mid-summer 2004. It was aimed to be a deathmatch map, but I never did finish the entire outdoors area yet. There isn't much to show, yet. The theme is egyption based. For the areas that aren't visible, there are tombs and other secrets around.

Half-Life: Deathmatch Annex

As the readme says, this is a map I started working on just to keep my mapping skills from getting rusty. I know the r_speeds are a bit high in some areas but I'm done working on it and that's that. I haven't been able to find anyone to playtest it so the weapon's remain untweaked, and unless there's a large clamor for me to tweak them (which I doubt) it'll remain that way.

Half-Life: Deathmatch Uproar

Uproar was the third map that I released. It's a small industrial map that I made in a week.

Half-Life: Deathmatch Subdued

Subdued was the fourth map that I released. It's a decent map but it's too empty.

Half-Life: Deathmatch Penance

Penance was the second map that I released. It's a medium-sized map that doesn't really have a theme.

Half-Life: Deathmatch Feud

Feud was my fifth and final HLDM map. It's a medium-sized industrial map that mostly uses custom textures.

Half-Life: Deathmatch Alpha

Alpha was my first map and it shows. I wouldn't bother downloading it.

The weapons shown in the map are temporary; I laid a tau out for testing purposes.

I'm not completely finished with the lighting (it's still a tad dark), so I slightly tweaked the brightness & contrast of the screen grabs.

It is a power plant inside an active vulcano using the heat of the lava to drive steam turbines. It will get very loud inside this power plant because of the ultra huge turbines.

Half-Life: Deathmatch ff_splatter

ff_splatter is my second map. It is an arena-style map with a courtyard surrounded by 3 levels of buildings. All weapons are represented.

Because of r_speeds, I had to keep it a little blocky, but I did my best to at least make the layout as interesting as possible as well as add more interesting architecture away from the middle. In any event, I was going for function over form; it was designed with gameplay & r_speeds in mind and not as something aesthetically beautiful.

Now with Downloady Goodness.
