Map Description

I have updated dm_pit with the new slam weapon as the stachels where my favourite weapon in the original.
I haveswapped the guns around , like ive changed the ar2 rifle over the pit to the rpg, changed the crossbow to the ar2 rifle and changed the rpg to the crossbow.I have also improved the texturing in most places.

Excellent, excellent map.. Been running on my server since it came out (Elvicerater's Freeman Festival - Custom Maps that Rock!). One change I didn't care for (from dm_pit to dm_pit 2) are the arches and other structures that now look like shiny, rust-colored metal. They are too shiny and no longer give that fantasy medieval feel of the original. Its now a strange mix of rusted modern metal thrown into this medieval castle. Sorry to be nitpicky, but it really does bug me..

This map drove me nuts for 2 weeks while trying to figure out the secrets. I even emailed Devious (with no response). I finally figured out the last secret tonight. Very cool. I love maps with secrets.

I recorded a video revealing all the secrets on this map. You can download it at http://www.websiteprofessionals.com/dmpit2.mov

The map is much more enjoyable when you know the secrets.

Love the map dude, have had the first version on my server since day1 and i just switched to part2..thx for the many hours of fun.

Quick question,i figured out how to get to the supercharger area but how does one get into the other crossbow area that splits between the hallways and the pit area?

Am undecided whether #1 or #2 is better, but either is fun as hell.

Good improvements to one of the first HL2DM maps made. Are the 'buttons' a new addition or did I just miss them completely the first time round?

I like the new textures a great deal better. I'll have to download it to judge the lighting though (to make sure that it's not too dark).

Good looking map.
