Map Description

Tower is a vertical map for L4D2's survival gameplay mode. Reach the top and answer the radio, but be careful on the platforms and watch out for tanks!

Requires the L4D2 add-on support module to be installed to function properly. If it's not installed you'll see a lot of checkerboards and error models.

The current version of the map is B9...feedback and suggestions are appreciated for future revisions!

From your pictures alone this map looks very well made. I dont play Left for Dead, but this map does look like a winner!

Interesting; I'll take another look through to see if there are any areas that I can change to control visibility distances somewhat better; I'm guessing the 'skybox' props and draw distances are contributing to your lag. Ideally the map should be able to scale/run on any machine that can run the core game itself; clearly this is not the case now, but it's how it should be :)

Not really. I am actually experiencing an fps lag when there are many zombies around, no matter where I am.

Well, if you say it's optimized, I believe you and I should blame my computer. My computer does a good job on a new game like this, but it just seemed to lag on this map especially.

It's a shame, since this map is probably very fun, but I haven't had a real fun experience yet with this lag.

I will probably have a new computer later this year. But for now, I don't have enough money yet to afford one.

Whoops, I'll take a look at the projectile weapon counts - they should have been set to 1 to prevent people from camping them.

I just played 2 rounds in this map and there are some things I really need to say.

First: The detail and atmosphere in this map is simply amazing. Playing it feels like you're really there. There's nothing else to say about that.

Second: All pipebomb/molotov/boomer bile spawn points have a count of 5.

What I mean is, for example, if there are 4 pipebomb spawn points, each of them have 5 pipebombs. So 5 x 4 = 20. This is really too much IMO. I forgot to limit the count to 1 in my map as well before.

Third: FPS Lag. This is probably because of my pc, but other maps run just fine and playable, but on this map, I had an fps of around 15 all the time. I only managed to get a time of something like 6:30, even when I gathered many pipebombs and molly's together. Did you optimize it yet?

Well, don't get me wrong, this map is just really amazing, but those were just some things I had to let you know, and I didn't had a really cool playthrough yet because of the lag.
