You could apply for a pit, which is a little homepage on this website you can put files on an so on. Go into your control panel and you can apply, but you might not get one as Lep doesn't just hand them out on a plate. You could grab some geocities space or something in the meantime I guess, though its not very reliable.

Host your map at Angelfire or Geocities, it's free, and when you're new to mapping, waay enough.

Er, you physically can't, they block any externally referring site. But still put it up on geocities or somewhere, you're okay to link to pages which have a download link.

250free is ok for me... theyve got heaps of popups if you actually go to the page, but you can link from different sites no problem. you can also direct ftp to them, which is good if you got a slow connection and web based interfaces time out on u.

Well, if you wan't too keep it "legally", just create a simple HTML page with a download button, place that on angelfire (together with your map), and link to the page.
