when you use "planes" in MilkShape3D you can (at least me) assing texture to only one side of the plane, and the other side disappears (when you compile the model).

i saw fishy's tree set. i think the leaves are "planes" and they show both sides. how did you do that, fishy!?

can anyone explain me how to make both sides show? :confused:

the back face of these planes are always dropped, so i made 2 seperate planes, facing opposite ways, and welded them together.

hl2 has an option for the qc file, $nocull, which allows the texture to show through to the backface, but afaik, it doesn't work with hl1.
