I don't know if you can make Team Fortress maps. When I go into Source SDK it doesn't have it there in the list.

Team Fortress ... ? Classic or 2? I assume you want TF2 since this is in the HL2 section?

For TF2, it should do it automatically, you need to put in a launch option to get the old source games loaded into the SDK, so if that option is still there, it wont show TF2.

Otherwise, the game needs to be installed. It also has to be ran, at least once, I believe.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

You need to open sdk from the steam "tools" window. if you open it from the desktop shortcut TF2, Ep2, and portal won't show in the sdk pull down menu. This is the way it is on my computer at least...

It seams Valve has been dragging their ass on the sdk updates.

Check your command line, because the shortcut, with no additional options, shows all the EP2 stuff.

I mean TF2, all that is wrong is that it doesn't come up in the list.

Okay ... did you read what I said earlier? Have you done all of those things?

Deleting the short cut and readding it solved the problem. Try adding "-engine ep1" to the end of the "target" field under properties in the sdk short cut. Without the quotes.

I found the problem. It is basically the opposite to Redwoods answer. I had to get rid of -engine ep1 but it wasn't in a shortcut. I was doing it in the launch options.

That's what I told you to do in the first place.

True, Crono, last week, about an hour after the question was asked. My apologies for missing that.

It's cool. I can see how it could have been missed as I didn't state it in the most obvious manner.
